Staff Spotlight – Hannah

Hannah has served at CAPS for about two and half years now. She started as a Service Coordinator. She was on our service team for about two years, and now she has moved to managing all the digital aspects of CAPS – social media, data entry, and referrals through our databases. She is the person behind our Facebook posts! We asked Hannah to answer a couple of questions, to tell us about herself and give us a snapshot of why she loves working for CAPS! This is what she said:

I am 31 and I am an adventurous introvert. I love time to myself, but I also love being outside in nature, investing in friends, studying theology, and window shopping for the latest fashion trends! The ladies in the office know I am walking down the hallway when they hear my heels.

I am very close to my family, and love living in Virginia with my pup who I rescued two years ago.

Originally, I learned about CAPS through my home church. My bachelor’s degree is in Christian Ministry with a minor in psychology. When I graduated in 2020, I knew I wanted to work with an outreach organization that really values the Church! So when I found out about CAPS, I immediately prayed “God, I would love to be a part of this amazing organization!” A couple of months later, I interviewed and the rest is history. I love that CAPS brings local churches together to meet the needs of our community. I believe that our efforts to help people without the help of the Holy Spirit are worthless. I strongly believe in the power of prayer, and one of my favorite parts of working for CAPS is being able to minister to others by listening to their stories, and praying with them. I have walked through quite a bit of medical issues in my life. Being able to share hardships and weaknesses with my clients is incomparable. Another essential part of my job is my coworkers. My coworkers are some of my biggest cheerleaders, prayer warriors, and some of the most Christ-like, loving people I have ever met.

Currently, I have switched to a new role doing social media and data entry while working mostly from home. I have always had a love for writing, creativity, and championing others. I absolutely love hearing the client’s stories, and writing them into posts where our readers can connect with them! One of the most enjoyable parts of managing social media is connecting our audience’s hearts with the heart of our clients. My vision for social media is for you to know why we do what we do every day.
